 I was a stay at home mom of 4, husband in the Air Force and enjoying life at home with my babies. With no thought of ever starting my own business, this all came about when a friend of mine was expecting. Of course, I wanted to send her a great baby gift. So, like I had done in the past, I asked my mom to make a Minky blanket for her. This time, she lent me her sewing machine, gave me a few tips and had me sew it myself. After seeing the final product, my husband Chris instantly encouraged me to start making these handmade blankets so others could enjoy the gift that is Minky! Within about 3 months, Baby WANT Designs was born. I've stayed very busy since then, hand-making every single blanket that you purchase. I always say that not all Minky is created equally, and take pride in using the best quality Minky. It's the softest fabric that stays that way for years, without pilling.
