5 cozy ideas for quarantine at home

Right now staying in is the new going out. Countries all around the world are shutting down in an effort to help slow the infection rate of Covid-19, and that leaves many of us indoors and wondering what to do. If you have found yourself under a mandated quarantine, here are 5 cozy ideas to make staying home the best place to be. And of course, you should have that soft minky blanket by your side!

Binge watch your favorite shows

Never has there ever been an opportunity to binge watch all your favorites and practice heroism all at the same time. Staying in saves lives by helping to flatten the curve of infections, so even though it may look like you're just watching every episode of Grey's Anatomy in existence, you're actually saving the world.

Make the most of it by popping some popcorn, lighting some candles, and bringing all your cozy minky blankets to the room while you watch.

Meditate

If looking at your news feed is making your blood pressure spike, you're not alone. As the number of cases mount all over the world, and the death toll continues to climb, it can cause you to feel anxious even if you normally cope well with pressure.

Meditation is a great way to help put you back in control of your mind, and has proven benefits such as helping your brain grow, to easing those stressful feelings. There are plenty of meditation apps that can help you if you don't know how to meditate, and all it takes is just a few minutes to start feeling better.

Read

Remember that juicy novel you bought last summer that you planned to read just as soon as you had time? Well, now you have it. Pick up a book on your to-read list and snuggle down on the couch to finally find out what happens in the latest Game of Thrones, or whether 50 Shades of Grey was really worth the hype.

Snuggle your pets

If there is anyone overjoyed by the fact that your home every day, it's your furry friends. If your cuddling in your favorite blanket on the couch, chances are your pet would love to snuggle in with you, and that may be good for your health. Studies show that petting a dog or cat can help lower your blood pressure and easy anxiety.

Family game night

If your kids are bored, busting out the games and puzzles can be a wonderful way to keep everyone entertained. Games are a fun way to pass the time, and can help you feel closer to each other as you wait for quarantine to come to a close.

Staying home is harder for some than others. If you're bored at home wondering what you can do until this is all over, we suggest snuggling into a warm minky blanket, and looking at the quarantine as an opportunity to relax and unwind. Together we can help flatten the curve and save lives, and do it all from the comfort of your couch.
